Juniper Hill School offers a well-equipped computing provision that supports learning across
both key stages. Pupils use laptops, iPads and physical computing devices, such as Micro:bits
and Bee-Bots, to enrich and extend their learning experiences.
In Key Stage 1, pupils begin to understand how technology is used in everyday life. They learn to
use digital devices purposefully, explore simple programming, create and store work, and are
introduced to the principles of staying safe online.
In Key Stage 2, pupils build on this foundation by developing their knowledge of computer
science, information technology and digital literacy. They design and debug programs, learn
how systems and networks work, use digital tools to gather and present information, and
continue to develop safe, respectful and responsible use of technology.
