Policies

The school and governors have a range of policies which are reviewed in a regular cycle, some of which are statutory. All are based on the recommended policy or guidance from Bucks County Council or other bodies.

At Juniper Hill school, we are proud to work in a trauma‑informed way. This means we recognise that children’s experiences shape how they learn, feel and behave, and we intentionally create an environment where every child feels safe, valued and understood. Being trauma‑informed is not a programme but a whole‑school approach: our staff build strong, nurturing relationships, prioritise emotional safety, and respond to behaviour with curiosity, empathy and consistency. We understand that all behaviour is a form of communication, and we work closely with pupils and families to provide the structure, support and compassion children need to thrive. By placing connection at the heart of our practice, we create a school culture where every child has the opportunity to feel secure, build resilience and achieve. Our Relational Policy should be read in conjunction with our statutory Behaviour Policy.
