Ranger Day

Year 4, Jays, enjoyed a day with the Chiltern Rangers. We were very excited to be part of the conservation team, clearing the area and planting cowslips for our rare butterfly, The Duke of Burgundy.

The Chilterns were bathed in sunshine and we started the day, identifying plants and the much needed watering of the newly planted trees. After clearing and raking, a hot chocolate was on the menu to top us up for the rest of the day. We all enjoyed various tasks, from lopping branches to planting. We all had a great time learning about land management and conversation. It felt great knowing that we were making a difference in our community.
