At Juniper Hill School, we believe that positive behaviour and positive relationships are  intrinsically connected. Children need to feel adults around them, like them, care about them and are interested in them. 

Through our Relational Policy, we have created a culture where we aim for every child to  feel safe, respected, valued and understood, enabling them to thrive both socially and academically. We have high aspirations for every child and recognise that strong relationships, with their friends and the Juniper Team are the foundation for successful learning and personal development.

Through our Behaviour Curriculum, we explicitly teach the behaviours and life skills children need to succeed, including learning behaviours, cooperation, kindness, respect, good manners and responsibility. Kagan Cooperative Learning structures, used in all classes across the school provide regular opportunities for children to practise these skills, helping them develop teamwork, confidence at talking to others, sharing their views, and listening skills. 

By combining clear expectations with warm, rich relationships and consistent support, we create a calm, inclusive and purposeful environment where every child can learn, contribute and achieve their very best.
