On the 23rd April, Year 5 made their way to High Wycombe's Chair Museum, a real treasure right on our doorstep. What started as a damp and dreary day, turned out to be a sunny day full of excitement and fun.
At the museum, we split into 3 groups. Each group took turns dressing up into Victorian outfits before exploring the museum. The giggles were infectious - some of our boys looked dashing in their bonnets! The trail through town was a real highlight. Before we started our trail, many children assured us that they knew Wycombe well, and would not learn anything new. This statement was quickly retracted, where all children shared that they learnt facts from our high-street that they had never even noticed before - even the adults were in awe at the details they had walked past hundreds of times. The look of surprise on the children's faces was great, as they were stunned with the new facts and historical buildings they spotted.
