What to do if you have a safeguarding concern:

If you have a concern regarding a child in the school; record it and share the information promptly with a Designated Safeguarding Lead.

If your concern is regarding a member of staff, speak to the Headteacher.

If your concern is regarding the Headteacher, contact the Chair of Governors.

Juniper Hill Safeguarding Statement

Juniper Hill School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

We have a number of policies and procedures in place that contribute to our safeguarding commitment, including our Child Protection Policy.

Sometimes we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies, when there are concerns about a child's welfare. We will ensure that our concerns about our pupils are discussed with parents/carers first, unless we have reason to believe that such a move would be contrary to the child's welfare.

Our aim is to create a happy, caring, nurturing school that is committed to the wellbeing of our children.

Working Together to Safeguard Children is guidance for all the different people who should work together to help, support and protect children. This is a short, animated version of this guidance for children and young people which explains how people who help them work together and what they can expect when they ask for help.
